  Just got into collecting this month with my wife. She is going through cancer treatment and comic books have been a great diversion for the both of us. Some days all she can do is lie in bed as we talk about the stories we've read or what we're looking forward to picking up next. On good days we will read back to back issues together. The day of the week we get to go here gives us something to look forward to when times get rough. This has been an incredible bonding experience for us and a powerful coping tool. I just wanted to let everyone who we've had the pleasure of interacting with here

  I’ve been coming here for over a decade and this dude has never ever let me down. Honestly in an industry that’s becoming more corporate every year, this place is keeping it local and comics-centered. There aren’t comic shops like this anymore. You walk in and there’s just sprawling long boxes as far as the eye can see. Not a bunch of gimmicks and shiny Pokémon cards at a crazy markup. Just genuine people with a genuine love for comics.

  Came to Black Cat Comics not knowing much (actually, nothing!) about comic books and felt a little intimidated at first. I was looking for a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and the gentleman who helped me was amazing. In a time with so much uncertainty and anxiety, it feels damn good to walk in this store, be around other people, and immerse yourself into the stories and art.

  Super awesome comic book store. It was very clean and organized. My daughter was very excited to visit and see everything that they had. They had various comics that she wasn't able to find back home. It had a decent manga selection, books in japanese, small selection of cards and collectiables. It had a lot of usagi yojimbo comics and issues which she was excited about. Will definitely revisit when we are in SLC for her. Staff was nice and welcoming.

  I travel a lot and this is my go-to stop when I travel through Utah. The back issue selection is impressive and the prices are very reasonable. I have found the staff to friendly, and like that they have comics as well as trade paperbacks, some Manga and even a decent selection of younger age comics. Always something new to see here.
