  So the new place in Independence is AwESoMe!!! Sharon the owner took time to recommend some books and an Artist I recognized had just released a newer book, I got she suggested. They are still getting stuff put up, but it was definitely a welcoming space for a collector. I will definitely be back and highly recommend if you are looking for comic books checking out!!

  Lived in KC for year's, moved shortly after Jim was Murdered. Love Sharon and the Crew they are doing the best they can given the circumstance ,if you want to look around and go to The library as Jim would say, the comics are worse than cars people wanna read for free and complain when they can't, No shop wants that kinda traffic

  My partner and I used to shop here. We entered on a Saturday. Everything was covered by tarps, papers were scattered about, comics had water damage, and it smelled moldy. The older lady came up to us with a mask on and asked, "Is there anything in particular that your looking for?" I replied, "We are just browsing." She stated, "We are not open for browsing." I asked, "Are you not letting people in anymore?" She told me no and handed me a flyer and told me we could order online. This is so sad what has happened to this comic book store.   Periodically when I am in KC I look at reviews to see what is up, to see if things have changed. Unfortunately I still see the same types of comments. I was there several years ago and I was accused of stealing art from across the store. I was referencing my collection on my phone. I drove by a couple times after but they never seemed open since then to give it another shot. Never been back. I had always enjoyed going there under previous leadership and browsing and finding things I needed. Not sure why they have a store front at this point.

  I've been wanting to come to this store for several years now, and I wish I read the reviews before I came. But honestly I wouldn't have believed the reviews if I didn't experience it myself. I've been going to comic shops since the mid-eighties as a child, and I've never been to a comic shop where you're not allowed to come into the store. Especially at Christmas time. This is money making time... But nope, locked up like a dog in heat during mid day posted business hours. Plus the rules plastered all over the door to enter. If you're going to have so many rules, at least let people in the do
