  I emailed Elegant Octopus Games a while ago to ask if they were dog friendly and they were one of few card/retro game stores that replied back which told me that this store was a good store. They said that they are dog friendly which was another plus so we decided to check them out. My boyfriend checked them out first as he was in Tacoma and said that the store was well organized and the staff were professional and kind. We got the same hospitality when we came in with our fur babies which I appreciated. I even was standing for a bit while my boyfriend was looking through their kiosk for Final

  I have had many positive experiences at this store when it comes to cards and non-digital media, and I have bought several retro video games from here. I have had the unfortunate experience of being disappointed that they have not always worked. I don't know if this is an issue with the business not testing their pre owned games, because I assumed they do, but this would lead me to believe they do not do so. Again, great service but they don't test their video games before selling.

  Very friendly and helpful staff, with a great selection of games, cards, & merch. Exceptionally friendly community on Friday casual commander nights, come learn what "bracket 2" is all about, bring a pre-constructed deck or show off your latest creation! You might want to come early to secure a seat, they have been known to have a full house at times. Check out their discord for event information, pickup games, and more.   I have been to most shops in Tacoma, and this is by far one of the best ones for buying MTG cards. Their website is up to date on what they have for singles, and i can always know they will have at least some of what i need to make a commander deck, including a lot of common's and uncommon's. I have not sat down and played here because i play with a home pod, but the staff have always been friendly to me. Usually they will have sealed in stock as well even if other stores don't.
