I’ve been coming to Hyperion games, on average, about once a week since they’ve opened. Not only can I say I am a proud regular of this shop, but a friend to many who frequent it. No, it’s not the biggest or fanciest, nor do they have the largest selection, but I can guarantee that they will make you feel welcome. The community of competitors whether it be Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, etc. will be the first to offer help, get to know you, make jokes, invite you to events, or teach you to play. The sense of community in this store is unparalleled by any other that I’ve visited, and I’ve travelled

Used to come to this place from January to November 2025. Playing MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh weekly, and a tiny bit of Pokémon. Store has some issues but is very good for releases / pre-releases. Most product is sold at MSRP, unless it's very old. Most players at the store are nice. Community is small, but it's easy to make friends after some weeks. I'll gladly trade Hyperion Games for the card store I have over here. Points of improvement: - Snacks are never restocked during the week, even if they ran out on a wednesday. No food until next tuesday. - Discord / event communication is ok, but could be

I’ve been attending events at Hyperion since its inception, and I can truly say it has fostered the best community in the metro Detroit area. Most of my best friends I met here, the staff and owner in particular are everything you could want; enigmatic and actively engaged in the community always talking advice to change the store for the better. The best parts of my week are the days I am able to attend an event here. Not to mention it is one of the only remaining establishments where you can find sealed product at MSRP and singles for their market value, they employ some of the best tactics

Man I cannot express enough how much this store does it like no other store. Too often do you see shops with insane markups, unfair trade policy, and baffling event setups. Hyperion has the best prices in the area, and the staff is very straightforward and helpful if you have questions. You can really get a sense that they care about the hobby. As far as TCG shops go, I can't think of a better place to be.

Good place, they have one piece singles. Not many card shops are doing one piece. But if you're into magic or Pokémon they have a great selection as well.

One of my favorite LCS in the area. They may not have the largest collection of singles and sealed products might be hard to come by right now, but out of all the stores near me; this store is the only one who actually makes it fair to the people who enjoy the hobby. Prices on singles properly reflect the market, a lot of times sealed product is MSRP/close to MSRP, they take measures to ensure that scalpers and the investor types don't clear out their inventory. While some of the policies and decisions regarding new products might seem unfair to the vast majority of reviewers, it's clearly exp

Asian guy that’s usually in there is rude, was my go to spot the last year for sealed Pokémon product and singles. Now they won’t sell new Pokemon product unless you’ve came in there to play TCG’s a few weeks before release. lol Sorry, not everybody has time to come in there and play games with you,Some people have families and responsibilities and can’t sit in there for hours. Spent $100’s if not 1,000’s of dollars in this place but that’s doesn’t mean anything so I Won’t be wasting my time with this place anymore.

I’ve been here a couple of times, both times the vibes were off. Folks behind the counter seemed generally disinterested in helping and lacked customer service/soft skills and were standoffish. Not mean or anything but just more like “…why are you here?” if that makes sense. Both experiences it felt like I was bothering them. Probably won’t come back.
