They have a large area for people to hang out and game. Many miniatures to borrow and a huge selection of games and game accessories. It also has a cool decor.

As we traveled through Milwaukee, we made a stop at Old Guard Games to check out some games and were astonished by the variety of miniatures. The artwork and displays were unique also.

Godspeed to Old Guard Games on Downer. They have brought something truly unique and special to the SE WI gaming scene. Playing spaces, lighting, music (had Band of Brothers OST playing), bathrooms, decor and pricing are all done right. A true Midwest if not national gaming destination.

I belong to a collective of GMs and we run games for kids here. I also just honestly run a game with my personal friends here because the vibes and great and they allow us to borrow (assuming we put them back and use them gently) the plethora of terrain they have. They're always so accommodating. There's one staff member in particular, a lady with platinum blonde short hair, who is particularly attentive and just seems to be able to anticipate our team and attendees needs. I don't know her name but she's great.

I’m not one to leave reviews but I was in the store yesterday with my son when I witnessed behavior that completely crossed the line. A store employee aggressively confronted a group of children over a Pokémon trade involving his own child, claiming his kid had been “ripped off.” He spoke to them in an intimidating way and told them to track down the other boy involved and “make it right.” This was deeply inappropriate. These were kids, and an adult, especially one working in a game store, should know better than to use intimidation to resolve a minor trading dispute. If there was an issue,

Amazing new game store. Awesome atmosphere.Tons of inventory. Lots of tables for playing tabletop war games and a private room for role-playing. Highly recommend. We're very fortunate to have a store like this in Milwaukee.

Awesome decor and vibe, very friendly people, pretty solid selection. Only negative and it’s not reflected in the rating as they can’t do anything about it, but worth mentioning… parking can be annoying due its location. Be prepared to walk a couple blocks depending on when you go. But highly recommend a visit!
