  First I would like to say please visit for yourself prior to any reading of "bad" reviews of this store, the reviews claiming prices are steep come from scalpers looking to get mass product for resale, after visiting a NUMBER of card shops all over the greater Los Angeles area I can say without a doubt that Paper Hero's has the best prices aside from buying direct from the company, and if you can do that you shouldn't be looking in card stores.   All right you have this magic the Gathering Pokemon Yu-Gi-Oh tabletop and board gaming over here at paper hero games it's on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Sawtelle Boulevard right off of the 405 freeway they have tons and tons of game items products parts figurines artwork there's paint bottles brushes t-shirts posters mats and you're able to come into the tables and have your games posted in here as well as there's bathroom amenities there's snacks such as water bottles and sodas chips candies plenty of chairs to bring in parties of 10 20 whatever mini players you have in your grou

  A fantastic local game store with plenty of room to play whether it’s for the posted theme nights/events as well people just coming in casually to play some MtG or tabletop games. I don’t really write reviews but PHG deserves it for the way this store has felt like that third place where I can meet up with friends or just play casually with some of the regulars if I feel like it. Brian and the rest of the staff are always super helpful.   Mixed feelings about this place. Glad there’s a card store near me but this place is kind of expensive. Also had some uncomfortable exchanges with the people behind the counter, especially one interaction where I felt shamed for asking questions about which One Piece booster box I should buy as a beginner. Not only did they goad me into buying the more expensive one, they made me feel stupid that it was even a question. The last straw was walking in to see they are one of many local card shops that are choosing to offer Prismatic Evolution products at a crazy premium. Not great behavior that I
