  Went in late last night looking for a local shop while on a trip. Found these guys and was impressed by the inventory coming in. Was greeted and I asked for pokemon/yugioh singles for my collection. He made it a big deal that we only have $100 or over cards shown in the display and that the yugioh section was in the corner window, which was not. Then was directed to a laptop for their inventory, felt very impersonal and disregarded rather than trying to engage with me. I still looked anyway for certain cards as I was already here.   I hate leaving 1 star reviews but here we are. Ive visited this store several times over the last year. Yet everytime I come in with the exception of 1 time. I havent been greeted or acknowledged in anyway. When I do decide what im purchasing or need to Inquire about something. Ill make my way to the register and Im met with honestly the most soul crushing looks from the employees. No one...I mean, NO ONE ever smiles or has a pleasant disposition to customers they dont know personally. Everyone looks thoroughly annoyed im even there even as I hand them hundreds of dollars for their product. T

  To me there are 4 pillars to what makes a local trading card shop great. Atmosphere, Community, Fairness, and Transparency. Atmosphere: The team at Picante has done their work on making a space that feels safe and engaging. When you walk in the door at a lot of card shops, it's easy to get sensory overload, or for it to feel empty with how far away the people are from the entrance. At Picante, there's a balance. The entrance area lets you come in and see what they have in stock right away, while giving you time to look at the rest of the shop without feeling awkward. It helps that the team is

  Great collection of single cards, magic, yugioh. Impressive selection of pokemon elite, booster and promo boxes. Knowledgeable staff. Found me the Rocket run Dark Flareon to complete my set. 1st Edition, in great shape, $3!! Bought a few single packs $4 a pop, great prices 2 for 2 on rainbow pulls. A first impression is a lasting one and if im ever in North Carolina again, I will make sure to stop by. Thank you!!

  I've spent a lot of money here, but unfortunately I side with a lot of their negative reviews and have decided not to shop here any more. Ordering from them online has been fine, there's definitely some price inflation in their inventory. They claimed to adjust the price according to "market" in previous review responses that are conveniently gone, and now go based off recent lowest listings. When I went up there in person and pointed out cards that I was interested in (at 2x market AND lowest listing price) they told me they couldn't guarantee a price adjustment even if it's listed lower else

  Will not come back. Will not spend money here. People are unfriendly. Overpriced. Rather go to the Card Shop NC in Winston Salem.
