  My son is obsessed with droids—especially every variation of R2-D2 so this store was basically a dream come true for him. We ended up finding nearly a dozen collectible droids to add to his collection, including some harder-to-find variations. The selection is impressive, and the place is absolutely packed floor to ceiling with toys. Everywhere you look there’s something nostalgic or unique. Beyond the incredible toy inventory, they also carry classic PlayStation games and older console cartridges and CD titles, which was a huge bonus for me.   Not many stores provide an overall vibe of nostalgic nerd culture like Toys of the Universe. Every visit is like walking through childhood memories with all the throwback collectibles from Pokemon , TMNT, Action Figures, etc. The owner , Tony, is always pleasant to see as he always has an easygoing attitude , willing to make a deal that is fair and quite often generous because he wishes to make the visit an unforgettable experience. I visit often and made friends with the same common interests that makes the shop not only a store but a staple to hangout in the South Bay !

  LA residents don't know how lucky they are to have Toys of the Universe. My daughter made me walk all over Tokyo trying to find Labubus. We literally spent days looking. Then I come to downtown Torrance and find all the good stuff in one place. Needless to say, I stocked up so I could avoid future hunting trips. I read a review that claimed the Labubus they got were "suspected fake". Absolutely no way! These little monsters haunt my dreams and they are 100% legitimate. Well done and thank you. I can now rest!

  We have been coming here since they first opened and we came recently and hit the jackpot they had so much good stuff! I got a Labubu phone case and little designer purses for them.   I spent over $3,000 on Pokémon boxes here and had a very disappointing experience. Several boxes looked tampered with — the seals didn’t seem right and some were already damaged or slightly ripped. I also noticed loose packaging that didn’t match factory condition. When I asked about it, I was told the products were consignment. If that’s the case, they should carefully inspect items before selling them, especially at full price. I have photos and videos of the condition. I recommend buyers check all seals and packaging carefully before purchasing. Just sharing my experience so others can be
